Deathly Hallows to be released in two parts
« on: February 07, 2010, 09:06:01 AM »
What do people feel about the Deathly Hallows being released in two parts (similar to the Lord of the Rings films), as opposed to being a single film release like the previous Harry Potter films?

Personally I think it's a great idea for them to release two separate films so there is less book content to be cut for the film. With the last few films being based on longer books, I kind of disliked that the filmmakers had to cut a lot of the content in order for the films to not run too long. I feel they cut too much in some cases and left out or changed a lot of stuff that would've been cool to see on film. I know many fans would've been very disappointed if the filmmakers did the same to DH by cutting a lot of cool content to keep the film from running too long.

I actually like the idea of it being in two parts as like you said, less  of the book content will be cut out of it.also another excuse for another premiere and another possibility of a chance to maybe meet the cast once again(for about the 5th or sixth time for me..can't meet them enough, lol)besides it'll almost be like getting an extra HP movie, bonus ;)

It works. I wonder at what part they split it up. I think it's when Ron comes back.
